FAFShow 2004

Met up with everyone at the Coolidge last night for the Future Animators of the Future 2004 extravaganza.  Very great show this year, and if memory serves, much tighter than the last show (which was back in 2002).  Especially entertaining were FAF’s first foray into the realm of 3D animation…  You’ll have to check the videos out on their website once that section is unlocked.

I worked until like 7pm last night, and am going in tomorrow at noon for a few hours…  This project is draining my will to live, but hopefully it is almost over.  The monday after Thanksgiving I am going to have to head down to Dallas once again for a few days to deliver some new software.  Hopefully this trip will be shorter than my previous two.

Now I Say Something!

I’ve been a journal lurker for the past week….  I’ve been really busy at work, and when not at work, playing Half-Life 2…  I think I will probably have to work some this weekend, unless some miracle occurs tomorrow.

Went to see Stella (Michael Showalter, David Wain, and Michael Ian Black) tonight with .  Just as funny as I expected, and apparently they sold out tonight’s TWO shows at the Paradise….  The State alum can still draw a crowd, which rocks.

Happy Birthday, Firefox!

Web-browser extraordinaire Mozilla Firefox v1.0 has been released today! If you’re looking to grab it, you’ll find that mozilla.org is getting hammered, so you might want to visit one of the mirrors:

I picked up Katamari Damacy last night based solely on the recommendation of Penny Arcade. It’s cracked out, but wicked fun!

Day of Upgrading

I have moved all of my CDs and DVDs, as well as the books I have here in Boston into my OpenDB installation.  I haven’t figured out enough MySQL to fully replace my old CD and DVD listings, but that should come soon.  I also upgraded to the latest version of Gallery, as they issued a security warning.

Craig Christ

Last night was awesome…  Lynch was co-headlining the show with Mitch Hedburg..  I’m glad Lynch went first, because Hedburg was pretty lame…  After like 30 minutes of listening to his mildly chuckle worthy non-sequitur and I got up and left…  He just wasn’t funny enough for me to be a headliner, especially after Lynch tore the roof off.  I might have tolerated Mitch more if I hadn’t just finished laughing my ass off for 60 minutes straight…  The occasional smirk that Hedburg delivered was pretty anti-climatic.

Catching The Incredibles with the SNFC tonight..

My idea

As much as I’d love to let all these turncoat pussies who speak of moving to Canada just go, how’s about we make a deal?  Instead of Canada, move to Florida and Ohio…. :P

F1 Boston

, , Michelle, and myself met up with at Kelly’s Roast Beef for lunch and then headed over to F1 Boston for some racing…  We did 4 races, two at each track, and I got better with each race, getting comfortable with the car and how far I could push it…  I came in 6th out of 8 the first two races, 5th out of 9 the third race, and 2nd out of 10 on the last.  I felt like I would have come in 1st the next race if we kept going…  I had a feel for the tracks and cars at that point, which was nice.

Tonight , , Michelle, and I are going to see Stephen Lynch tonight at the Orpheum…  We have great seats, pretty far up front, so it should be a good time!
