Portal

My life over the past two days has been consumed with Portal and watching baseball.  Portal is the bomb.  I walk to work now and think about how it would be awesome to shoot a portal there and there…  I even had portal dreams last night;  It has reached the Tetris level of puzzle greatness where it consumes most of my thoughts during the day.  I haven’t even played Half-Life: Episode Two yet.

The Sox game last night was awesome, Hopefully they’ll keep up the good work and win through game 7.  Our new couch is apparently being delivered tonight, which will hopefully increase guest comfort.

Winning Nerd!

Once again, I won two tickets for Monday’s Red Sox game at work! I’m taking the day off of work, since it is an 11am game, and I’m taking with me because he’s a huge baseball fan. So that should be a good time. I also found out that I get to delay my tax return by one more day and turn it in on the 18th due to the New England holiday Patriots’ Day, which also rocks.

For some reason I decided today to abuse myself and create an RSS feed for my CD collection. I was screwing around with some SQL and decided it would be a pretty easy thing to throw together. It is back-ended by my OpenDB installation, and just like my CD list, it caches the query results so it only queries the database when the table has been modified. Anyway, the feed gives you the last 15 albums I have purchased (or been given), I have no idea if anyone cares about this shit, I just thought it’d be fun. Let me know if you are using it, and let me know if you have any problems.

Waamp waamp waamp

The game was alot of fun last night, and even better, Boston won, so there weren’t any riots or anything… :) I am good at getting the team spirit when I am actually AT a game, so I was cheering on Boston like the rest of the crowd… Often I didn’t know what I was cheering or booing at, but that doesn’t matter… :) had alot of questions about the rules of the game, and I was able to answer alot of them, but having not followed baseball in like 15 years, my knowledge is a little rusty.

I took some pictures, mostly to show how awesome our seats were.
