The job fair was out of control last night… 95 people showed up (for all disciplines, not just Software), and I interviewed, maybe, 10-15 of them… I’m not sure of the exact number, but it was about one every 15 minutes for 3:15. I was able to sneak out and get a coke and use the bathroom once, but that was only under the guise of “finding someone”. I was ready to explode, and there always seemed to be someone waiting to talk to me while I was interviewing.. What I found really interesting is that even though this was advertised as casual dress, some people were REALLY dressed up (way moreso than myself.. :P). Anyway, I found some good candidates for “real” interviews that we will be bringing in soon.

I got home after 9pm and was already winding down for the night… So we chilled for awhile (although I spent most of the time wrangling with Red Sauce pizza because they gave me the wrong order) and I watched some TV after she went to bed. After the TV I moved over to the ‘puter to continue “setting it up”, a process while usually takes me a while (until I am finally comfortable with the PCs setup). After that garbage, I busted out Doom 3 and rocked some zombie ass. What a great game… I feel like I am sitting in my dining room on my dad’s 386/33 10 years ago..

Thanks to working late last night at the Job Fair, I get to leave early today, which rules because I have to go shopping for Stellafane, which I’m leaving for tomorrow morning. Should be a fun trip, although I think I could do without the 2.5 hour drive all by myself… I’ve been listening to the original Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy radio show during my commute, and it should last me thru the trip up to VT… I have the Neuromancer audiobook (as read by William Gibson) on the same MP3 CD as well, so if I run out of H2G2 I can move onto that. I finally consumed my backlog of Audible.com books so I am starting to “recycle”.
