Ugh

I’ve been doing the job search thing all day. How is that different from a usual day, you ask? Because in the past few days I have lowered my sights dramatically… I have applied for movie theaters, computer stores, etc. It’s really saddening, to tell you the truth. I feel like I am taking a step back in life to where I was before RIT. I was never in software for the money or any of that crap, I wanted to be a programmer since I was a boy… I was always a computer nerd, and IMHO, I’m a pretty good engineer. But the market just blows so badly… I feel like I have sent out a billion resumes in the 10 months I have been out of work and I have gotten nowhere closer to a job than I was 10 months ago.

Fuck.

  1. yeah that really sucks that you can’t find a job. But on the bright side a job at a movie theater etc. is 0 responsibility so you can devote minimum effort to it, but still pay enough to sustain you…

  2. I’m sorry you’re having such difficulty.

I know what you’re going through. I moved back to Indiana from Boston in early may to look for a job, as IN is where I’m licensed to practice.

    But there’s absolutely nothing here.
So, screw it. I’m moving to Vegas.
