I’ve been doing the job search thing all day. How is that different from a usual day, you ask? Because in the past few days I have lowered my sights dramatically… I have applied for movie theaters, computer stores, etc. It’s really saddening, to tell you the truth. I feel like I am taking a step back in life to where I was before RIT. I was never in software for the money or any of that crap, I wanted to be a programmer since I was a boy… I was always a computer nerd, and IMHO, I’m a pretty good engineer. But the market just blows so badly… I feel like I have sent out a billion resumes in the 10 months I have been out of work and I have gotten nowhere closer to a job than I was 10 months ago.
Fuck.
yeah that really sucks that you can’t find a job. But on the bright side a job at a movie theater etc. is 0 responsibility so you can devote minimum effort to it, but still pay enough to sustain you…
Have you tried CompUSA?
…or you could do what I’m pondering…. grad school.
I’m sorry you’re having such difficulty.
I know what you’re going through. I moved back to Indiana from Boston in early may to look for a job, as IN is where I’m licensed to practice.
But there’s absolutely nothing here.
So, screw it. I’m moving to Vegas.
Vegas!!!!
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!
how awful of an advertising campaign is that?
It makes total sense for things like bachelor/stag parties…. but the commercials absolutely suck.
like the one with the older asian woman?
Why do I get the feeling that she’s a smack mule?
