When I was working at Rovia (Hmmm, I wonder when that link will go dead…) I got subway passes through the office (pre-tax). I stopped buying them when I was laid off because I didn’t need them as much (they cost $35, which costs as much as $35 rides on the T…) The other day I found someone’s discarded December pass on the ground, and I realized that if I buy a pass for this month I will have 11 passes during one year, which will make me eligible for a 10% discount on my car insurance, which is definately worth the $35.. So I have to go to Harvard Square today, because it is the last day you can buy a January pass…
