It’s a Small, Weird World
Well, how’s this for 6 degrees? It turns out that our Oracle consultant here at work also happens to train miniature seeing-eye horses in addition to his DBA career. A bunch of us were talking about this the last time soco visited Rochester, but I find it amazingly weird that I now work with the guy who was doing this completely bizarre work. :)
They have finished training their first horse, and are delivering him to his new owner soon. They are coming to Boston to throw a graduation party for the horse. My verbal skills have been rendered completely bewildered by this whole thing…. Wow…
Catching up…
Sorry I haven’t updated very profoundly the past few days…. Soco has been visiting, and since he is moving to Austria in a month, I am trying to make the most of it… :P After Transformers last night, we came back to floor and then went to Nick’s for some Garbage Plates…. :)
Soco and I stayed up until 7:30a in the User Center with a rotating list of house members bullshitting about OSes and how shitty Linux was… We talked about another OS (think canada), and his dismal experiences trying to make the piece of trash be useful…
Today, a bunch of us are headed to Conlon’s for a Super Bowl shindig… I will be able to watch the football, but I am going more to chill with the others going… Unfortunately, Soco will probably be leaving in a little bit, so he won’t be able to go… It has been alot of fun seeing him again, and hopefully I will be convinced to leave the country to go visit him… :P

Jon, Soco, and I are going to Jeff and Anna’s to watch Transformers: The Movie. Hopefully I won’t run into their roommate.. :)

Just hanging out here waiting for soco to arrive… I have been working on AliveJournal for a good chunk of the day… I released a new beta of it tonight, and am slowly getting the other guy’s source wrangled sufficiently… In a few weeks I will have the code exactly where I want it. :)
Stuff
I am just getting ready for my Calc class later, doing some studying and homework type stuff (we might have a quiz today)…
I have so many projects I want to work on, but I need to get some scholastic stuff out of the way first… My guess is that I won’t be working on AliveJournal until later this week… And since soco will probably be visiting this weekend, I might not have much time to do anything this weekend either….. Oh well, I am happy with the current release of AliveJournal, I haven’t gotten a single bug report about it, so I think that other people agree.. Still, I wish I could crank a few other simple requested features out and roll in some general improvements I have made since 1.5b… But y’all will have to wait. :)
