What drinking water do you prefer – tap, bottle, purifier, etc.?
I don’t really care all too much unless it tastes like shit. If
the tap water is nasty I prefer filtered, then bottled. (Note: I don’t care
what’s IN the water, as long as it tastes good)
What are your favourite flavor of chips?
Cape Cod Potato
Chips, plain.
Of all the things you can cook, what dish do you like the most?
Jerk Pork Tenderloin
How do you have your eggs? ?
I don’t eat eggs. I got it
into my head that they are liquid chickens and can’t get past that imagery.
I have really been trying to psyche myself up to give them another chance in
the near future though.
Who was the last person who cooked you a meal? How did it turn out? ?
Hmmm…. It’s been a long time…. Corinna made me a sandwich a
few weeks ago, and before that I would probably say it was Adam. Both were
good.
Doesn’t look like I am getting to play any poker this week, as last night’s game was cancelled and I am doing the Matrix Reloaded tomorrow afternoon. But the World Poker Tour was on tonight so we got to see some serious No Limit Hold ‘Em action tonight… That show rules, but we watched it live so we had to deal with all the interstitials and the commercials…
My car, Maude, has been flashing her Check Engine Soon light at me for awhile now. I took it to the garage a month or two ago, and the mechanic (who is a good guy) said that the computer was reporting a misfire on one cylinder. He reset the light, put some fuel injector cleaner in it, and told me to run two tanks of super and see if it came back. If it did, he said I’d probably have to change the wires, plugs, etc. It did, and I decided to let it go for awhile, but since I am driving to NYC then NJ next friday (Tomahawk show, anyone want to go?) I wanted to get it serviced so I didn’t have any troubles. It has been running kinda rough lately so it seems like it was getting worse.
Rory made an amazing purchase today when we stopped at Gamespot:
I bought a pair of pants today. Not even blue jeans. I feel just a hair more like an adult.
I slept like complete shit last night, and when I sat down at the computer to check my email I started hemmoraging out of my nose. It eventually stopped, but I don’t know where the hell that came from. Unless it was from when Corinna punched me in the nose to keep me in line.
The Film Club has decided on seeing “Owning Mahowny” this Sunday. It starts playing in Boston this weekend, which is weird because I know people in Rochester who have seen it already. I am also seeing the new Matrix movie tomorrow afternoon (please don’t ruin it for me).
I reorganized my filing cabinet last weekend and in the process came across a bunch of old ID cards.. I look like a total dork in all of them, so for your amusement I scanned them in and added them to my photos. I figure as I accrue new IDs I will scan them in. Somewhere around here I have my Babbage’s nametag as well as my Shoprite one.
Adam borrowed his brother’s Xbox for awhile, and I hooked it up this afternoon and gave it a spin. I only played Halo, which didn’t impress me when I played it instore, and my impression hasn’t really changed. It is mostly the controls, I simply couldn’t get past the notion that “I would be so much better with a mouse/keyboard”…. I will give it a fair chance, but I don’t see it working out. Adam also borrowed Ghost Recon and some racing game. I love racing games, but Ghost Recon is another FPS, which will probably suffer from the same control issues. Not to mention I already beat it on the PC.
It also looks like I am going to be co-running the Boston Sunday Night Film Club. It is something I can really think I can help with, and the club needs it, so I will gladly volunteer my time..
Can someone explain why I was under the impression that Bernadette Peters had been dead for the past few years? Don’t get me wrong, I am very glad to hear that she is not, but like, I really remember hearing an obit for her and being really sad…
I’m reading “Make Your Own Damn Movie” by Lloyd Kaufman (of Troma infamy). I read his first book, “All I Need to Know about Filmmaking I Learned from the Toxic Avenger” when Amy gave it to me for my Birthday. I ripped through that one and quickly purchased this book. Anyway, in it he writes:
You know your heartburn is bad when you get your underwear-only-wearin’ ass up out of bed, get dressed, go down to the 7-11, buy one of those little sticks of 12 Tums, and fire back the whole thing successively, just to return to bed.
I shouldn’t have had that Chicken Mole Enchilada for dinner, eh?
While I am up I might as well make an updatey-watey… Today was pretty laid back… Jon Whitney came over for a bit to pick up his ginomo-firewire-drive that he dropped off the other day so I could make a DVD for him… We chit-chatted and watched a bit of the Best of Bowie DVD Easter Eggs. Jon had never heard the term Easter Eggs before… Surprising, he is a pretty saavy guy…
I played some more Tiger Woods tonight, solo… Adam and Helen rented Ringu, but since I thought it was pretty lame the first time around I skipped on most of it. At least it is better than that godawful US version of it.
Once again I fell under the grace of the Poker Gods and doubled my \$20 buy-in tonight to a cool \$40.75… I was once again the big winner of the night. That’s \$40 in one week, not too shabby at all…
