This only 3 or 4 CDs left and they are all encoded! A week or so I had 66% of my cd’s ripped to MP3, but I am almost done!

Since I’m just starting to re-rip my collection to mp3 (first time since my February hard drive crash), I’m curious what software you use to rip, encode, and for what settings the encoder is set (ex: 192 kbps CBR).

For the ripper, I have been using Exact Audio Copy along with the DLL version of LAME 3.92….
I played around with the various bitrates, and I finally settled on 192k CBR… To me, none of the higher bitrates sounded that much better…. A slight difference, but not enough to justify such a great increase in size… I have over 300 CDs, so adds up quickly… Size is also an important consideration given my Archos Jukebox 6000’s 6GB limit.
