I am simultaneously packing, ripping mp3’s, and preparing for the dry-run of my presentation tomorrow… I moved the first batch of crap over to CSH today; I am hiding stuff there until I can get my dorm room key in about a week… :P
I will probably not get to bed for an hour or two, I need to round some edges I found on that presentation, and I am still pretty wired, so…
Oh yeah, when I turn 35, I am running for president.
I pretty much finished my presentation, but I realize it is going to require some tweaking… Now once I get home from work today I can focus on the next task at hand… packing
Talk about a load of blow. There is one thing I hate more than moving, and that’s moving often. Including this time, I have moved 4 times in the past year. Luckily, this will all end once I graduate…
I was having a bit of trouble getting back into my groove after lunch, and I figured out what was causing it - Lack of Music. So I tossed in some Skinny Puppy… It’s been awhile since I have listened to them, i don’t know what I was thinking… :)
Working from home again, still working on the California presentation. I am curious if my co-workers (and more importantly, my boss) are truly cool with working from home. It was communicated to me early on that telecommuting was OK, but it is still a touchy subject for me.
I am still quite sore from the whole jetski thing; I really look like an old man when I walk around now. We went out to Weggies late last night and I felt like a complete putz.
I think I am going to write another CD review later today, but we will see. :)
I am in pain. I guess being a human shock-absorber for a jetski takes its toll on the human body. :)
I am writing this with the latest BeOS LiveJournal client. While it doesn’t support Mood/Music stuff yet, it is pretty rad otherwise. Looks much better than the prior client.
Stayed home from work today to crank on the presentation that we are dry-running on Friday. It’s coming along fairly well, but the trick is always to try and predict the questions people will ask… So I have been thinking alot about that. I am also fleshing out some of the design that was still up in the air… Hopefully it won’t completely be shot full of holes. :)
Scooter’s barbecue rocked, and I feel comfortable saying it was the best barbecue food I have ever eaten. I got to see many faces I hadn’t seen in awhile, and meet many older house members… ‘Twas fun
After sleeping that food off, I headed out to Chez Wronkowski for the rest of the weekend. Matt, Stacey, and their family were hosting me, Garrett, Conlon, and my roommate Jon Parise. After some initial car trouble, I had an awesome time. Once I got there we jumped in their boat for a trip on the Great Sacandaga lake. This lake was huge. Stacey made some damn-fine cookies. It was Matt’s birthday, so we all got to give him a hard time, but we stopped short of telling the waiter at dinner… :)
This morning, we woke up, and we were served breakfast by the lovely Stacey. :) Best Golden Grahams I had ever eaten (in her defense, she made Liquid Chickens, which I don’t eat. Therefore I can’t judge her breakfast cooking). Then we jumped on the Jet Skis for awhile, man those things move…. Serious fun. :)
Mucho thanks to Matt and Stacey, and especially their family…. It was great to see everyone!
Ok… So a kind soul decided that they wanted to part with a ‘Double Dragon’ arcade standup, and decided to sell it dirt-cheap to CSH (\$100). Adam coordinated this purchase, and rented a U-Haul with James yesterday to bring it home in. The short version of the story is that after we brought the machine to CSH late last night, the freakin’ U-Haul broke down… So today was spent trying to dole that crap out…
I installed my new hard drive yesterday. I was amazed when it all worked the first time around. I moved some shit around today to get all my OSes booting off of the new Ultra2 drive.
Scooter’s party is tonight… After that I am coming home and resting for my trip out to the Adirondacks for the weekend….
