When I am home, whether working from home or home sick, I always have CourtTV on in the background (I think I am addicted). Anyway, today they are covering the case of this girl who is suing her High School (proxy her mother) for the right to form an “Anarchy Club”, which the High School denied her.
Anarchy Club… Right.. Does that sound a BIT oxymoronic to you? These kids today…
The idea of the club…
The idea of such a club isn’t too oxymoronic, IMHO. Of course, most schools would require their clubs to have a charter, by-laws, and elected officers. That’s where it really breaks down, I think. 8^)
Re: The idea of the club…
I could accept “group” or “meeting” or somesuch, but “club” kind of IMPLIES things like rules and charters and stuff to me…
But I guess the REAL zinger for me is that she is SUING the school… That’s not very anti-establishment… :)
