I ask that everyone observe a brief moment of silence today, as a close member of my family has passed on.

Last evening, I had to put Bessie down. She was a good fan, circulating much air over the 20-sum years of her existance. During her life, she required many operations to sustain her life, but she always seemed to pull through. Sadly, this time she didn’t make it.

She provided a refreshing breeze to many people, including myself, my family, phyber, jon, to name a few. It is a sad time, and while there is another fan in my apartment, Bessie can never be replaced. I know that one day we will be together again, but until then, a void has been left behind in her place.
