As if Sprint PCS’ customer support wasn’t terrible enough, now this! I am definately going to switch carriers after my contract expires in May… Hopefully I can get a Hiptop to replace my current phone too.
Today I did something I have been meaning to do for a long time - catalog my cd collection. Here is a listing of what is currently contained in my CD rack… There are a few more CDs (probably 20 or so) that are either out on loan or floating around the house somewhere… I am sure the missing few will turn up when I move in two weeks…
Way back when I used elm as my email program of choice, then I somehow got suckered into using GUI mailers and started using Netscape Communicator’s Mail/News program… When I was finally able to switch to BeOS back in 1997, I started using BeMail format to store my messages, and converted all my old Netscape mailboxes to BeMail format (one file per message)..
I just uncovered a CD containing all my archived mail before I switched back to using command-line mailers (mutt) back in 2000, and I guess I need to write a script to bundle them all back into mailbox format so I can have one good repository of my mail archives dating from 1995-Present.
In case you are wondering, I don’t save EVERY message, but most of them… :)
Ok, I guess its time to go to bed… The chocolate syrup is yummy, but it is too thick to make chocolate milk with, which is disappointing… It will be superb on ice cream, however. :) Next time I make it I won’t let it thicken so much…
I am not quite sure what I am doing this weekend… I need to do laundry, for sure, and I should probably start packing for my move in two weeks… I could do some work at work as well, but I might just enjoy the long weekend FWIW. It looks like the phone was turned on in the new place today, so I should know early next week if we can get DSL… If not, I will call the cable company, who has said that we can get a cable modem there. Adam and Rory will certainly be happy to get away from dialup… :)
Adam talked about going to the Museum of Science tomorrow to catch an IMAX film… I might join him and Helen in this escapade… :)
Tonight Adam, Helen, and Rory came over to hang out for awhile, and Adam and I did some cooking. Taking Alton’s lead from the show Art of Darkness II: Cocoa, we made brownies and homemade chocolate syrup. I took a few pictures to make jealous:
And it all tastes amazing… So if Chocolate and cisco doesn’t get her over here for a visit soon, I don’t know what will… :)
I not only got paid today, but I also got my federal refund! Time for some hookers and blow…. ;)
