My hosting company for codeninja.net provides Webalizer domain stats, one of which is “Total Search Strings”, which lists the search terms used if people used a search engine to find my site…. I am not quite sure which search engines this works with, but I was looking at the stats for codeninja.net, and most of them would be as expected “beos and bone”, “livejournal account code”, “alivejournal client download”…. My favorite has to be “billy idol groupies”, though.. Go ahead, it is on the second page of results at Google.. :)

visited today, which was cool, cuz I haven’t seen her in awhile…. She dragged me out to try to find some Christmas gifts, and even though I made some valiant efforts to keep us from ending up at the mall by pointing her towards smaller stores, but those stores let us down… So we ended up in Wayne, and it wasn’t TOO bad…

Now I am just watching the Junkyard Wars marathon, and the turkey leftovers have given me an oncoming food coma… :) is visiting tomorrow, which is cool… I haven’t seen him since graduation!

Flying

Surprisingly, my air travel experience was great today… I left work around 2pm, figuring that with my flight being at 4:30p I would have plenty of time to stand in line. I got to the gate a bit after 2:30, and got on a seemingly HUGE line at the Delta counter to get my tickets. The line was very long, wrapping around 6 times, but I was at the counter within 20 minutes, which is certainly acceptable. Then I got on the line for the security checkpoint, and got thru that in about 10 minutes… 30 minutes and I was golden! I didn’t mind sitting around the airport though, because I wouldn’t have wanted to miss my flight.

It is very strange seeing all kinds of people in uniforms with M-16s around the airport…. But it was strangely comforting… But there were many automatic weapons floating around, with some serious looking people behind the triggers… The world is so strange now. The plane was on time, and arrived in NJ early… As we came down in Newark I looked out of the plane at ground zero… I wasn’t over it, but I could see the hole in the sky where the towers once stood… I also saw the massive lighting systems used to illuminate the cleanup…. The whole sight broke my heart….. I don’t know if I will ever get used to the new skyline…

It’s nice to be home…

I realized I had never commented on the concert I attended on Monday… In short, it was tons of fun… The band was intense and was dead on.. Adam and Rory really enjoyed the show as well (Rory said it was the best show he had attended to date). They played most of their debut album, a few cover tunes (such as Mott the Hoople’s " Violence" and Roxy Music’s " In Every Dream Home A Heartache").

The band was totally intense live, everything was dead-on and the band was very tight. Even the guy on the sound boards did a good job (which seems to be rare these days). The opening band, Syrup, wasn’t too bad (although they weren’t great either). Their formula was pretty predictable after awhile, but I really think they don’t really take themselves seriously and were just screwing around… :)

In other news: I am flying home for the holidays tonight! Should be fun… Hopefully I won’t die. :)

Awesome!
