My TiVo recorded the movie The Fast and the Furious, so I figured what the hell… The movie is like an unofficial sequel to Point Break. Even the undercover cop SOUNDED like Keanu Reeves.. It was a fun movie, but it was by no means good…
Stellafane was wonderful this year… The weather was beautiful and the sky was very clear Saturday night… Unfortunately the saturday evening program seemed to run on forever, topping 3.5 hours, so we were pretty tuckered out by the time we got back to our campsite (11:30p). But, for the first time in Stellafane history, I won something in the raffle!!! I won a set of books and software worth more than \$360:
I hope to have all the pictures I took online later this afternoon, so I will post again once that is done, but I have some errands to take care of before then.
I forgot to set my alarm clock last night, so I didn’t wake up until 10:30a, which isn’t a terrible thing, imho.. :) I worked from home until a little while ago because we were supposed to have a company meeting at 3pm.. Ok, I just got out of that meeting, which started just as I was starting a sentence about how all our meetings are late around here… Hehe… It was a good meeting, just a general status update as to where we are with our various customers and whatnot.
Andres brought in the last of the gear he had for that LCD panel he gave me awhile back towards the end of May. All this time I have been missing the power supply and software so I haven’t been able to do much with it… I hope to get it booted this evening.
Last night I made some more Mutha Sauce last night for this weekend’s Stellafane extravaganza… My dad and Johnny will be rolling into town late Thursday and after a good nights sleep we will head on up to Springfield, VT. Chuck needed to help his parents move down to FL so he can’t join us this year, which sucks, because any time is a fun time when he is around… But we will have a good time anyway, hopefully the weathermen are correct and the weekend will be a good one..
Met up with Jon Whitney for lunch, went to the Tokyo for their lunch buffet… It was pretty good, but what kind of Japanese Restaurant lacks plain ol’ white rice? This one, apparently…
Yesterday I installed Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 on my work machine and after installing it the machine wouldn’t boot… I have had a copy of XP Pro here on my desk waiting for a lull so I could install it, but I ended up expediting that process… I am still piecing everything together after that nonsense…
Trip to Rochester/Syracuse was fun, but the driving sucked… I am too lazy to go into details, but seeing the multitude of people I haven’t seen in ages was a blast, if not a bit too sleepless… :P
Today I am just tired, I got into town around 2:30a and in bed around 3am, which isn’t too far off from my usual bedtime… I was planning on sleeping in a little later but the construction worker douchebags rang the bell repeatedly until someone answered the door to ask us to move a car. Unfortunately the car wasn’t ours, and they just ended up pissing me off.
Anyway, thanks for all the good words re: my new glasses….
