I am very, very interested in the distributed compiling features in OS X 10.3… I assume they must use ZeroConf (a.k.a. Rendezvous) to find the available resources?
I’d also like to play with iChat AV but none of my friends have videocameras apparenty. :P
So I haven’t had a Coke in a few days, replacing it with diet root beer and flavored water. This means I have reduced my sugar intake as well as my caffeine intake. Things are going along pretty well in that respect, I haven’t had any Coke withdrawal symptoms so far. Faithful readers will recall that I had already reduced my Coke intake substantially back around this time last year, which allowed me to lose a bunch of weight and such. Somewhere along the line, however, I got back on the horse, and started drinking more than I agreed (with myself) to.
This new Matmos track rules.
I was watching the Tom Green Cancer Special, and at one point, they showed his removed testicle and were showing the cancerous spots and comparing it to the non-cancerous spots. And for the slightest moment I smelled formaldehyde (or whatever preservative was used in my high school dissection classes). How interesting.
I posted this in but figured some of y’all might be interested so I am cross-posting it here:
This Sunday, June 22nd at 5:00pm, join the Boston chapter of the Sunday Night Film Club at the Brattle Theatre for a viewing of the They Might Be Giants documentary, Gigantic: A Tale of Two Johns. After the film we will be heading over to the Casablanca Restaurant for dinner and discussion (and drinks, for those interested). Look for me standing around the theater lobby with a group of people before/after the show.
I added the aforementioned pics to my Photos
I am sitting in a Friendly’s in Weymouth waiting for my new windshield to be installed at Master Glass (which is across the street). It’s an hour wait, so I figured I would grab some lunch. I decided on the Open Faced Chili Burger sandwich, which sounds delightfully nasty.
I forgot to mention two things about yesterday:
I took a really bad spill on the rain-covered cobblestone that almost converted a day of rollercoasters and fried dough into one of gurneys and bandages. I escaped with a sore right hip and a really bruised right elbow.
My new still camera came in the mail while I was at the park. It is a Minolta DiMAGE X, which replaces my defective birthday present from many months ago (the piece of shit Belkin KVM). This camera rules, and I will post some shots I took last night when I get home from being bent over by Mr. Silica.
Ok, so Corinna, Matt, and myself drove down to Six Flags yesterday. Corinna and I had been talking about going for some time now, and she decided that it would be a good day to go. Matt had already taken Wednesday off, so he joined in on the action. It was a slightly rainy day, so we figured crowds would be diminished and lines would be short. For the most part we were dead on, although when we first got there there was some significant school trippage. First Ride: Superman, and the line was about 20 minutes long. After our first ride we noticed that the line was down to about 5 minutes, so we went again. Pretty much the rest of the day we didn’t wait on any lines longer than about 15 minutes, which isn’t bad at all.
We also finally had the opportunity to ride the Sky Coaster, which was awesome. Worth the extra money for sure!
Today I get to spend \$300 bucks getting the windshield in Maude replaced. Fun!
