Ok, piercing is one thing, but this is just freaking sick… I don’t know if it is true or not, but it is really screwing with my mind… :)

Update: Not real (look at the date at the bottom of the article). This makes me feel much better…

Update 2: Actually, it doesn’t make me feel better, it just makes me feel like a gullible ass… :)

Everybody has nice stuff but me

Tonight is the Rovia Holiday Party, which should be wonderful. It is being held at the wonderful Parade of Meat, which is like Valhalla (Neverending supply of Meat, delivered on Swords by Beautiful Waitresses, what more could you ask?).

I dressed up for the occasion… Perhaps I will turn on the webcam later so you can see me look like an ass. :)

I love Paulie Walnuts

“Hell is hot – That’s never been disputed by anybody”

That has to be one of the greatest quotes from The Sopranos….

Phenomenon

Christmas means alot to me… It always has, actually, but ever since I stopped living at home full time I have really recognized how much it means to me.. And what’s strange is that now, we are less than a week away from Christmas and I have yet to truly acknowledge it much at all…. This happened while I was at school too; the daily buzz that keeps my life ever-so-busy distracts me from the impending holiday… But I really can’t enjoy Christmas when I am away from my family, because for me, it is all about my family.. I realize that Christmas has it’s roots in religion, and I have no interest in discussion about the commercialization of the holiday, but to me, Christmas isn’t about religion, it is about family… Until I am home, with my family, Christmas is months away…

I am watching the second season of The Sopranos on DVD, and I had forgotton all about the two bungling idiots that run with Christopher until they turn on him… Those characters just make me angry in their stupidity… I also watched the episode with Alicia Witt, man, she is gorgeous…

Useful Javascript

Ok, Javascript sucks, but this use is kinda neat…. I have a bookmark created in Mozilla (but this code should work in IE) whose document location is set to:

javascript:q = document.getSelection(); if(!q) void(q=prompt('Dictionary:','')); if(q) location.href = 'http://www.m-w.com/cgi-bin/dictionary?' + escape(q)

If I highlight a word on whatever page I am looking at and then click on this bookmark, it looks that word up in the M-W Dictionary… If I don’t have any text selected, it instead prompts me for the word to look up.. I also have similar things to search IMDB…

I have had this for awhile and thought some of y’all would be interested…

Ha!

This is hilarious… You might not want to look at it while at work, but it isn’t that bad… There isn’t any nudity or anything…

More Gobe Impressions

grahams - - 1 min read

I have been playing around with Gobe Productive again this morning, taking advantage of their very progressive license (install it on all your computers at home, and your workstation at work, all for one license fee). I needed to make a CD cover, so I fired up Productive for my first “real use” test. There was a template for a CD cover OOTB, which was nice… My impressions, in no particular order:

  • I really like the pretty light blue selection color
  • The speed and responsiveness are nice
  • I wish that Home/End brought me to the beginning/end of text in a spreadsheet cell
  • It’s nice to have the various panels (like the Font one) back again, but I like the ability to “tear” them off from the dropdowns in the BeOS version

That is all for now…
