My body humours are all out of wack… Too much snot, ears are clogged, stomach is funky…

I got 4 tickets in the mail to see Lovage when the show comes to town on the 16th. Adam, Rory, Frankie, and I are all gonna go, and it looks like we are going to meet up and go with Noah and Karen as well… Should be a great time. Adam also scored tickets for us to catch The Breeders show on February 12th, which should be fun.

Mom and Larissa left here around 3pm… Before they left we ran some errands and got lunch in Kendall Sq. (Emma’s). I cleaned up the apartment, setup my new CD Changer. I decided to install the hard drive and XP last night after all, and everything went swimmingly.. I am slowly installing the software I need as I need it. I couldn’t get SP5 for Visual Studio 6 to install under XP, but I didn’t try very hard either… :) I will have to search the KB for further details..

I am hoping to feel better in the morning, I am alternating between feeling OK and lightheaded, which won’t be very helpful in my effort to return to productivity after the vacation…

We arrived in my apartment around 5pm, right on schedule…. Traffic wasn’t that heavy, and we only stopped a few times for gas and pottie breaks (I wasn’t the one needing to use the lavatory, but I also wasn’t driving.. :P). After we got all my crap into the apartment we rested for awhile and then went out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory… Yum…

I watched some TV with my family (CSI and American Beauty [which is still on]) while putting my file server in the case that I brought from home… Now I no longer have random computer parts lying on my dresser… Much nicer.. :)

I am not sure if I will put in my new hard disk tonight, since that will imply that I will also be installing WinXP tonight, but we will see… I only got a few hours of sleep last night, so I may just hit the bricks… I am also coming down with a cold… Such are the perils when your mom and sister work in a hospital and your other sister works in a daycare…. :)

Going back to Boston in a minute or two, running a little late… Hopefully there won’t be too much traffic….

Amy just left a few minutes ago, and I need to get to bed… Leaving for boston at 11a… =)

Happy New Year!

Amy and I went to West Coast Video to rent a movie or two for tonight, and the following exchange occured:

Me: “Do you have Buckaroo Banzai available for rent?” Guy: “Well, we have it for rent on VHS, or for sale on DVD.” Me: “I will buy it on DVD”

Which is awesome, because it isn’t supposed to be out until like Thursday…. I am certain that jerronimo will be a bit jealous… =)

We also rented True Stories for after midnight…

I am feeling a bit ill this morning, but it is something I ate… My stomach hurts, but it is pain, not nausea or somesuch. Amy, Chuck, and James might be coming over tonight for a little new year’s fun.. We will probably just sit around, watching movies (which is allright with me)..

Heading back to Boston tomorrow, it turns out that I am not flying but instead driving up with my mom and Larissa… It is the most reasonable way for me to get my xmas loot back up there… I will just hang onto the plane ticket for future use…

came over for a visit this morning… While he was here my dad played Battlefield Earth (doesn’t deserve an IMDB link)…. Man, that movie is a steaming pile of shit… We chatted for awhile then he had to go, but honestly I wasn’t in that talkative of a mood this morning, so I probably bored him (sorry, jon)..

Went over one of Johnny’s friends house tonight to play Risk, Chuck and Melissa were also there… I didn’t win, but I lasted for awhile… I did average, I guess… Afterwards, Chuck, Melissa, and I met Amy and James at a diner… I just got back… I miss my crew back here in NJ… Perhaps I should come back sometime soon…

I am going to read some of my current book and then go to bed… (Actually, the Code Breakers book has preempted my other book, Survivor, but I figure I will go back to Survivor after I finish the crypto book… ;)
