Catching Up

I rolled back into Boston around 5pm on Saturday Night. I had a great time with the family in Seaside Heights, and the drive back wasn’t all that bad. I was pretty lazy Saturday Night, but I picked up Corinna and we just hung out and grabbed some simple dinner. Sunday I just wanted to blob around all day but Corinna talked me into taking her to ONE furniture store so she could buy a desk, etc. I obliged and also took her by her place after she placed her order. We then met up with the SNFC for “Seabiscuit”, which was really good. The turnout helped me feel good about the SNFC again… The turnout the past few weeks had started to make me get a bit down-and-out, but we had 7 people show which is good by my counts (for the summer, at least).

Today hasn’t been terribly interesting, but here are some pictures from the vacation.

  1. Wow my first bad review! ;)

    Hi Sean

I’m Tattooed Steve from “The Haunted House with the crappy scene out front”. HA HA!

The show in the house is allot better than the front yard… You just happened to show up on a day where we are still in the middle of adding the outside touches. It just sucked because between the time constraints, weather, and a really tight budget we were left with a choice spend the time and money on the inside additions or outside.

The “Guy that needs a knife” and the others are antiques (They’re over twenty years old) from an old Dark Ride that used to be on the pier in the 80’s so we thought it would be a nostalgic touch for the locals. It’s really cool hearing people my age or older saying “Were those in another ride a long time ago?” Then when you tell them yes they tell you all about the first time they saw them.

You can see more of the inside of the house at http://www.tattooedsteve.com

The next time your in the area stop by and we’ll give a VIP tour of the house.

Oh that blue thing/mascot is “Wiggles The Wave”. Why they chose it I have no idea…

    1. Not really a bad review :)

I think you made the right choice. To be honest, I would have made a run at the house but the family we were with decided that their kids were too young for the Haunted House (which was bullshit, imho).

It’s really awesome that the “guy who needs a knife” and his friends are antiques… My parents live in NJ (as did I for the first 20 years of my life), but I’m from Hopatcong, so I’m not too sure when I will be down at Seaside next. I promise to give the Haunted House a run next time I am in town, though!

(How the hell did you find this entry/gallery, anyway?)

A friend of mine was looking for something for LJ and typed in Seaside Heights. And found yours by accident. So he fowarded it to me and I checked it out.

That’s when I was like “DOH” and left the message for you. And you’ll always be a welcome guest any time. :)
