Fucking bullshit

Omar and Mario were going to fly out to Japan this weekend for a week because they had tickets to a few semifinal cup games… They both had to apply for Visas because they have Pakistani and Panamanian (respectively) citizenships. Today the consulate told Omar that because of his citizenship they had to send all his paperwork to the home office in Japan for processing there. Mario was approved without question.

What is really annoying about this is that before 9/11 Pakistani citizens didn’t even need a visa to enter Japan… Even though Omar has had a US Green Card for 10 years, and is currently waiting for his US Citizenship to be approved, it didn’t matter… I am all about security, but sometimes things are a bit ridiculous.. I feel really bad for him….
