Stuff

Man, it sure is tiring to come back to work…. The physical demands of crutching around the building, especially since our secure lab is diametrically opposed to my cubicle, are substantial. tried to convince me to ask for the company wheelchair while at work, but I think I am going to skip on that… brought me a Garbage Plate from Tahou’s on a trip out here this weekend.. He got the guys to package it up in component form, so it was actually pretty good when I assembled it all… The only thing that didn’t quite come out the same was the home fries…

My company is hiring full-time and co-op Software Engineers, so if anyone is looking (and isn’t a spank), drop me a line. US Citizenship required, 6-month commitment required for co-ops, must be able to obtain a Security Clearance.

  1. I wondered how the home fries would be when I was transferring them from the tupperware to the bag I left you with. I figured that the best way to heat them up would be to throw them in a skillet or something to get all the condensation back out.

Despite delivering all that stuff, I never actually ate any of it — even a plate when I was picking it up. I got into Rochester pretty late on Sunday night, and was out visiting the girl until late last night. Travel protects my Nick’s gut. :)

    1. I actually had a second plate earlier this week… This time I allowed the home fries to cook a bit longer, and they came out better…

I never actually managed to mail the others to see if they wanted to pick the stuff up. I suck. :)

I wanna give you money for the plates, do you have a paypal acct?

      1. Yeah. I have most of my known email addresses associated with it. My CSH address will definitely work.

Man, toting those plates around and not actually eating one myself got to me. I’ve also had two plates this week. I had one on Tuesday to satisfy my craving, and another yesterday because a buddy was leaving town for the summer. Hopefully I can hold off for a few months now. :)

    1. My company is Goodrich Surveillance and Reconaissance Systems in Chelmsford, MA… We fancy sensors (cameras) that fit in/onto planes and take pretty pictures… My overall group works on a EO/IR sensor that is used on the U-2, but specifically the stuff I work on is the “Ground Software”… This ranges anywhere from specific implementation of low-level algorithms in C all the way up to UI design in Java, and all the steps in between…

We really don’t distinguish much internally between coops and fulltime, we treat our coops the same and they are given just as much responsiblity.. We try to only have one “first-time” coop at once, but we’ll consider any good candidate…

As far as fulltime goes, we have a bunch of positions open, even some doing embedded work using vxworks, but most are doing the same stuff I am…
